The PuTTy program will take you through a startup wizard. The install steps are fairly standard. The required user selection steps are illustrated below beginning with where the program will live. (The install wizard will default to your C drive). Find the PuTTY download page with an Internet browser and select the installer.
Run the PuTTy .exe file.
Start the install wizard.
A shortcut menu selection will default to the program's name.
Once the install is completed a window will display offering a read me text for the PuTTy program. This read me is recommended as it has links to the PuTTy website and basic usage information.
