Rear Mounted Camera
The Rear Mounted Camera is a high definition camera that can be mounted on the rear of the ROV to observe the tether or objects behind the ROV.
Operating Instructions
Video from the rear mounted camera can be viewed using a browser and connecting to the following URL (IP Address): 192.168.1.123
Components
- Tail Piece Mount
- Storm IP Camera
- Frame Mount (top piece)
- Frame Mount (bottom piece)
- 9-pin cable
- Y-Splitter
Mounting Instructions
- Temporarily remove the aft port thruster by removing the two M5 bolts that attach the thruster to the vehicle frame and set the thruster aside.
- Thread the socket end of the 9-pin Cable through the opening next to the power module.
- Feed the 9-pin Cable out to the rear of the vehicle.
- Connect the Storm IP Camera to the socket end of the 9-pin Cable.
- Connect the plug end of the 9-pin cable to any one of the socket ends on the Y-Splitter.
- Attach the Tail Piece Mount to the Storm IP Camera making sure the "STORM IP" logo is facing to the side. This will insure the video image is level from side to side. Note: The color of this part may vary.
- Attach the Frame Mount (bottom piece) to the vehicle frame. Be sure to attach it exactly how it is pictured. Note: The color of this part may vary.
- Place the Storm IP camera on top of the Frame Mount (bottom piece) and then attach the Frame Mount (top piece) over the Storm IP Camera.
- Insert and tighten the screws for the Frame Mount and Tail Piece Mount. The screw for the tail piece mount should be installed for the forward side of the camera mount.
- Disconnect the manipulator (and GPS, USBL if installed) from port 6 on the communications module.
- Connect the manipulator connector plug into the remaining socket on the Y-Splitter.
- Connect the Y-Splitter plug into port 6 on the communications module.
- Replace the starboard aft thruster, securing it with the 2 M5 bolts being careful not to over tighten the bolts.
