- Be able to test the systems primary functions, or identify issues that must be corrected before conducting operations.
- Be able to confirm the accessory operations, or identify issues that must be corrected before conducting operations.
- Be able to ballast and trim the vehicle according to the payload and water density.
- Be aware of the coordination required by the operator and tether handler.
- Be able to launch the vehicle and stabilize it in preparation for stating an operation.
- Be able to initialize the navigation system to geolocate the vehicle and confirm it is properly located on the map.
