TINA (Tether Interface Node Adapter)
TINA modules allow accessories to be connected directly to the tether without the ROV. This creates the following possibilities.
- Use an external camera as a drop camera
- Add an external camera and manipulator to make a drop camera with retrieval capabilities
- Use a radiation sensor or thickness gauge on land without having the weight or size of the ROV.
- Use a sonar as a pole mounted device.
In each of the above cases, the control panel is used as the operator station, so the operator will typically be completely familiar with the equipment and operating procedures.
