Leak Detector Use

  1. Remove the float block.
  2. Remove the vertical propeller.
  3. Remove the vertical cartridge seal.
  4. Install the cylindrical body on the vertical shaft with the O-ring down. Make sure the O-ring is seated.
  5. Install the retaining plate with the larger hole over the cylindrical body and the smaller hole over the float block stud.
  6. Install the retaining screw in the float block stud to hold the device in place.
  7. Using a hand pump connected to the valve, pressurize the ROV to no more than 35 - 70 kPa (5 - 10 psi).
  8. Place the ROV in water.
  9. Observe the ROV for any signs of escaping bubbles.
  10. If bubble are observed, perform any necessary remedial action.
  11. Replace the vertical cartridge seal.
  12. Replace the vertical propeller.
  13. Replace the float block.
