Hi I’m Rob Cornick, a support analyst at VideoRay and your instructor for this lesson.

I joined VideoRay in April 2020 after 9 years working as a support contractor with the US Navies Underwater vehicle programs. Before that I served 32 years in the British Navy as a Mine Clearance Diving Officer, specializing in underwater Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Mine Warfare.

Highlights included operations off the Kuwaiti coast during Operation Desert Storm, an exchange tour with the US Navy focused on the very shallow water mine counter measures problem where I first became exposed to the use of robotics to solve many problems and a 5 year tour with the NATO Undersea Research Centre in La Spezia, Italy, where I was the Subject Matter Expert for Mine Warfare and port and harbor protection.

Now I have time I enjoy repairing old machinery, radio control modeling and gardening. I’m also a novice Bee keeper.
