1.5  Set Up the Waypoint Defaults

In preparation for placing the waypoints that will define the inspection pattern for the ROV to follow, it is important to set up the defaults that will be applied to each waypoint.

Waypoints can be edited after they have been placed, either singly or in groups.

Recommended Settings

Waypoint Name	As desired
Waypoint Color	As desired
Waypoint Tolerance	2 m (6 ft)
Heading	Fixed (Heading value will need to be set so that is perpendicular to the orientation of the pier.)
Waypoint Z Value	0 (The first pass should be made on the surface so the vehicle can be observed.)
Depth/Altitude	Depth
Speed	0.5 m/s (1.5 ft/s)

Speed should be reduced in reduced visibility to allow more time for visual inspection.
